Large artworks can make a big impact. Whether it's a bold display of colour and shape, or an arrangement of images which blend into their surroundings, hand-painted murals can dramatically transform a space.

Whereas a canvas or picture frame sits on-top of a wall, a mural creates a very different effect as it becomes part of the room or itself.

Murals have been very popular recently, both in commercial developments and in homes. Street art has become increasingly popular round the world with murals appearing in cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Reykjavík (Iceland), New York.

I think part of the attraction is they are very open and invite people to engage with them. In a home it's a bold statement of a person's personality, but in an office, restaurant or a city street they become public pieces anyone can directly engage with feel partly like it is theirs.
