Hooters Liverpool

This ceiling mural was created for Hooters Liverpool, the largest Hooters in the world.

The building's vaulted ceiling was originally glass, but years of leaks meant it had to be boarded over, leaving an otherwise striking space dark and uninviting.

To bring light and atmosphere back into the room, the ceiling was painted a sky blue base colour, and I added soft white clouds across the space to complete the effect, echoing the sunny skies Hooters is known for back in America.

Working at height across such a large vaulted ceiling was one of the more physically demanding commissions I've taken on, but the result transformed a gloomy space into something bright, welcoming and genuinely memorable for visitors.
