Start a Project

Whether you’re considering a portrait, pet portrait, mural, bespoke artwork or larger commercial project, I’d be happy to hear your ideas.

Some clients arrive with a clear brief, while others simply know the feeling, subject or space they’d like to create something for. Either is absolutely fine.

An initial conversation is often the best place to begin.

How Projects Take Shape

1. Share Your Idea

Every project starts differently. Some clients arrive with a clear brief, while others simply have a rough idea, reference image or a space they’d like to transform.

The more context you can share at this stage, the more useful our first conversation will be, but you don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

2. Creative Direction & Outline Pricing

Once I understand the scope of the project, I’ll offer initial creative thoughts, practical guidance, and outline pricing based on the likely approach.

Where helpful, I may suggest alternative ideas, techniques or materials that could strengthen the final outcome or better suit your budget, space or timeline.

3. Design & Booking

Once the direction is agreed, projects are booked into the schedule and a deposit is typically taken to secure the booking.

Depending on the commission, this stage may involve sketches, reference gathering, material planning or wider creative development before the artwork moves into creation.

4. Creation & Completion

With plans agreed, the artwork moves into creation.

Depending on the nature of the commission, this may take place in the studio, on-site, or across multiple stages. Throughout the process, I’ll keep you updated where appropriate until the final artwork is complete and ready for delivery or installation.
